Hey and Happy Wednesday!
Life has a way at showing you exactly how far you’ve come. This past Sunday I had my first book discussion and it was amazing. Truths were shared and life was spoken into many. I learned my story truly speaks to many and the connection is building a community. Over time we go through our highs and lows but how we deal with them always shows.
My story has been twist and turns. But I never once stopped persevering. In the discussion, tears came over me as I shared a part of my story. I always joke, I don’t cry but the truth is crying is a form of healing. Let the tears flow lol. Tears are the water that feeds our soil to blossom. Tears are okay and once the dust settles you will find your new peace in whatever situation you’ve faced.
Never let someone dull your light and alter your truth. Be the person you need and fill your own cup. Don’t stop living in your truth to let someone else feel comfortable. Believe you are enough and never stop going. Take some time to yourself and write down the places in life you could use vulnerability without courage. Then make a plan to pursue it.
Often times we miss out on opportunities because we are scared and don’t want to fail/fall. But we cannot go far waiting on the courage to start. I knew growing up I wanted to touch people but how I was going to was always blurry. Not until I started writing did I understand how I would touch people. I am still building my courage and I feel with every conversation I find more and more. I’ll leave you with this “Go use your vulnerability to build your courage”.
Pen down,
Allyssa
